HMH’s educational offer

As part of its statutory educational activities the History Meeting House (HMH) runs multimedia workshops for the school youth called Meetings with History. After an earlier appointment of the date, school groups (classes) have an opportunity to tour the exhibition and take part in a history discussion moderated by our educators.

School youth are also invited to open and closed Meetings with Witnesses of History (admission free after earlier reservation by phone). The meetings create a unique opportunity of having direct conversations with interesting people, asking questions and getting to know history from genuine accounts.

In addition, for all those willing to attend, we are also having cyclic, weekly debating sessions for the school youth as part of the KARTA Friends’ Club. Such sessions are usually held each Friday at 3.30-5.00 p.m.

All the young guests of the History Meeting House are encouraged to cooperate with educators who are ready to help or advise in writing various papers on Poland’s history in the 20th century.

You are most warmly invited to co-organize conference-meetings. Since October 2006 HMH, together with the KARTA Centre and the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, has been also running the Social Doctoral Seminar, which can be joined by any university graduate interested in Poland’s history in the 20th century.
